Tummy Tuck Boston - Get A Flatter Stomach

The tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to remove excess skin and fat deposits following weight loss or pregnancy.  It is also the procedure of choice to correct the vertical separation of abdominal muscles (diastases), to create a tighter, flatter stomach.  To schedule a free tummy tuck consultation at our Boston office, call 631-473-7070.

Reasons to Consider a Boston Tummy Tuck:

  • Remove excessive skin following weight loss or pregnancy.
  • Realign abdominal muscles to create a flatter, trimmer look.
  • Loss of skin elasticity and diastases (loose abdomen muscles) following pregnancy.

The Tummy Tuck Procedure

Depending on the patient's physiology, the average tummy suck performed at our Boston plastic surgery practice requires less than two hours.  An incision is made just below the bikini line, after which excess skin is separated from the muscle tissue and removed.  The muscle tissue is then drawn together and sutured, creating a firm, contoured stomach with a better-defined waistline.

Preparation & Post Operative Care for Tummy Tuck Surgery
Prior to surgery, you’ll be provided detailed information on how to prepare for your procedure.  Tailored specifically to you and your needs, your doctor’s advice will help you take the necessary steps towards what lies ahead while laying the foundation for a successful outcome.

Our specialists know that it’s only natural to experience a degree of anxiety prior to surgery.  That’s why you can always feel free to ask any question of anyone, at any time.  We believe that knowledge and confidence go hand-in-hand.

Post Operative Care and Recovery
During recuperation, some discomfort and swelling are normal.  Oral medication is available to patients suffering minor pain.  Light activities can generally be resumed within two weeks.
