Breast Reduction Boston: The Road to Smaller, Firmer Breasts

Over-sized breasts often cause physical discomfort, emotional pain, as well as social stigma for a woman (or man).  Breast reduction, or reduction mammoplasty, is a technique designed to reshape breasts to a smaller, firmer condition.  At our Boston plastic and cosmetic surgery practice, our surgeons are highly-qualified in a number of techniques and procedures that can be addressed with a simple, free consultation.  To schedule a free breast reduction consultation, call  617-123-1234.

Reasons to Consider Boston Breast Reduction:

  • Back, neck, or shoulder pain caused by heavy breasts.
  • Restriction of physical activity due to the size and weight of the breasts.
  • Lack of self-confidence.
  • Painful rashes resulting from over-sized breasts.
  • Improve overall silhouette.

The Breast Reduction Procedure

While techniques for breast reduction vary from individual to individual, most involve the removal of excess breast tissue, skin, and fat, with nipples and areolas repositioned to a higher location.  Occasionally, however, liposuction alone can be effective in reducing breast size.

Preparation & Post Operative Care for Breast Reduction
Prior to surgery, you’ll be provided detailed information on how to prepare for your procedure.  Tailored specifically to you and your needs, your doctor’s advice will help you take the necessary steps towards what lies ahead, while laying the foundation for a successful outcome.  Contact our Boston Plastic Surgeons office.

Our specialists know that it’s only natural to experience a degree of anxiety prior to surgery.  That’s why you can always feel free to ask any question of anyone, at any time.  We believe that knowledge and confidence go hand-in-hand.

Post Operative Care and Recovery
Post-operative care includes bandaging the incisions and utilizing a surgical support (sling) which is worn for the first few weeks.  Patients suffering minor pain are provided oral medication.
