Body Lift Boston: Procedure and Considerations

Aging, weight loss, and pregnancy typically cause skin to lose elasticity, causing the midriff to lose integrity and firmness.  A body lift, or belt lipectomy, can raise and reshape sagging body contours by removing loose skin and excess fat, thus providing a tighter, trimmer overall look.

This procedure is designed to be applied to the abdomen, lower torso, upper legs, buttocks, waist, inner/outer thighs, and hips--and sometimes includes liposuction.  For those who’ve worked hard at losing weight, a body lift can complete the job.  To schedule a free body lift consultation at our Boston office, call  617-123-1234.

Reasons to Consider a Body Lift:

  • Sagging skin and fat due to aging or great weight loss.
  • Remedy weight gain and stretched skin caused by pregnancy.
  • Recreate a more youthful, mid-body contour.

The Body Lift Procedure

Performed under general anesthesia, a body lift requires an incision to be made following the contour of the area to be treated: generally the upper and inner thighs, waistline, buttocks, and lower back.  Excess skin and underlying fat tissue are then removed, with remaining skin tightened and sutured into place to create a slimmer, trimmer look.  A body lift usually requires less than 3 hours, but procedures vary greatly patient to patient depending on body type, areas targeted, and desired outcome.
